prenatal resource directory

Created by:Molly Pratt, MPH, HBCE

HypnoBirthing Childbirth Educator & Mind-Body Support Practitioner, Embodied Birth

Pregnancy can feel beautiful, tender, practical, emotional, and overwhelming – sometimes all in the same day. This guide is meant to make that feel simpler. Inside, you’ll find resources I often recommend to clients, including videos, articles, local supports, movement and pelvic health tools, breastfeeding prep, birth physiology education, and decision-making resources. It’s organized by common questions and pain points, so you can start with what you need most right now.

You do not need to use everything here. A few well-timed resources are often more helpful than trying to consume all the birth content on the internet. This list is updated periodically. If you know of a helpful resource to include, I’d love to hear from you: molly@embodiedbirth.ca

Disclaimer: This is a curated list of resources I find useful in my practice. It is not a comprehensive directory and is intended to supplement other Yukon perinatal resources and the guidance of your healthcare providers. Inclusion is for informational purposes only and does not constitute endorsement. Please use your own judgment and consult qualified professionals as needed.

Important note: Online resources are helpful, but they are not a substitute for medical care. Call your care provider, midwife, maternity clinic, or the Whitehorse General Hospital Maternity Unit if you have urgent concerns such as decreased fetal movement, bleeding, severe headache, vision changes, sudden swelling, fever, severe abdominal pain, waters releasing, regular contractions before 37 weeks, or anything that feels concerning to you. In an emergency, call 911.
