hi!

My name is Molly Pratt and I’m happy you’re here.

I live with my husband, rambunctious toddler and dog in beautiful Whitehorse, Yukon.

I like to wear many hats in life. As a HypnoBirthing Childbirth Educator, energy worker, and research and communications consultant, I am fascinated about how we impact positive change on both an individual and societal level.

My passion for childbirth arose from my global health work and masters studies in maternal, child and Indigenous health. While I’ve spent a lot of my time immersed in the research, being capable of standing beside a family preparing for childbirth came from facing my own fears and past trauma in preparation for the birth of my son. To be honest, prior to 2015, the concepts of energy, hypnobirthing and meditation were quite foreign to me, and it was my own healing and birthing experiences that opened my eyes to the power of these tools for transformation.

There is so much in our world that disconnects us from our natural instincts and wisdom. I’m passionate about holding a space for people where they can find themselves again. Through my HypnoBirthing practice, I work with families to demystify birth, overcome their fears and doubts to birth in confidence. I also offer mind-body based healing to support people navigating both the perinatal period and other life transitions (read more about my journey to that work here).

In all of my work, I strive to help people use their strengths to create meaningful changes in their lives. Birth and healing are sensitive and profound personal journeys and I promise to listen deeply and support each unique path to unfold.

  • If I’m not at work you can find me:

In my ‘sheshed’ working on construction projects or out in the wilderness with my family doing something active.

  • What is my favourite food?

Pizza. Though for some odd reason in elementary school I rallied my classmates to strike against pizza day because I thought they should feed us something healthy… I was an odd kid.

  • Is life a mountain or a beach?

I would say both. Though, if we’re talking where I would rather spend time, it’s definitely a mountain. In terms of birth, mountains remind us that we are full of potential, able to be still and take up space in our bodies and surroundings; whereas the beach reminds us that we are constantly in motion and with each surge and breath, we can sink deeper into the flow of the process leaving the landscape around us forever changed.
