You and your personal and health information are important. I take the use and disclosure of your information seriously. Please take care to read the privacy policy below for all information about how I use, disclose and store your information as well as details about how you can access and correct your personal information.

I may collect personal information about you to contact and communicate with you, to respond to your inquiries and for other purposes set out below.

About Me:

• Molly Pratt is a sole proprietor and owner and operator of Embodied Birth (“Embodied Birth”) and the website: https://www.embodiedbirth.ca (“Embodied Birth Website”) and sells access to the HypnoBirthing® The Mongan Method program (“the Program”) as well as offers private, 1-to-1 energy work and hypnobirthing sessions.

About Offerings:

• The Program includes live teaching of the 5-week HypnoBirthing® curriculum (“The Course”) and private, 1-to-1 support to enrolled clients through email and phone. The Course is offered in either a group or private setting, online via Zoom or in-person. Participants in the Course may ask questions and share information that may include details about their health or personal life.

• 1-to-1 Energy work and HypnoBirthing sessions (“1-to-1 sessions”) are offered outside of the program through virtual platforms or if agreed upon, in-person.

Embodied Birth takes all measures to safeguard all information shared throughout the Course and 1-to-1 sessions, however, what individuals choose to share is at their own discretion and risk.

To best protect the privacy of participants, Embodied Birth offers:

1. Live Teaching and Support - All Course content is delivered live, which means there will be no recordings of the Course content or 1-to-1 sessions.

2. Email Support - All group communications to participants will be Bcc’d and Embodied Birth will never share an email address or other personal information about you without your prior consent.

3. Small Groups - Embodied Birth keeps groups small to facilitate greater connection and support for the delivery of the Course curriculum, especially during meditation, hypnosis, and relaxation sessions. Online participants are encouraged to have their webcameras ‘on’ to facilitate this, however, Embodied Birth has no control over how individuals choose to participate.

4. Code of Conduct - Prior to commencing the Program, participants must verbally agree to the Code of Conduct, which covers the principles of confidentiality. This includes that all participants must agree never to share or disclose any personal information that is not their own to anyone inside or outside of the Course. Individuals participating in groups must know and accept all risks associated with what they share during the Course.

5. Third-Party Applications - Embodied Birth makes all efforts to choose third-party applications that are known for their security and safety potential but cannot guarantee the security of third-party platforms used for the Program delivery or 1-to-1 sessions. Any participant who chooses to share their name or other identifying information during the Course does so voluntarily, and at their own risk, with full knowledge that the information is being shared through third-party platforms that may not be secure, and gives express consent to the collection, use and disclosure as part of the Program. Complaints, claims, concerns, or questions regarding third-party products should be directed to the third-party. For more on which third-party apps are used during the Program, please read on below.

6. Confidential Support - When a client has engaged in receiving t-to-1 support, either through booking additional HypnoBirthing sessions or energy healing, all personal and health-related information is kept strictly confidential.

7. Separate Consent Form for Testimonials & Stories - After participating in one of my offerings, I may contact you or you may volunteer to share a testimonial or case story about your experience with the Program or 1-to-1 session. This is 100% optional. Testimonials and case stories may be in the form of text, video, audio, and/or images. This information is used for marketing and promotional purposes only and may be shared on Embodied Birth Website, social media accounts, in course content and other media. All participants who chose to share their experience with me in the form of a testimonial or case story, will be asked to give their separate expressed written consent prior to any information being shared. No personally identifying information about you will ever be shared without your permission.

Third Party Applications Used for Course Delivery include, but are not limited to:

• Zoom - used to communicate and deliver course content online; all communications are offered live, and thus no recordings of content will be made;

• Google - used to track, store and communicate information for Course delivery and management as well as 1-to-1 appointment booking and follow-up;

• WhatsApp - used periodically if email is not appropriate and clients are located outside of the territory or country;

• JotForm - used for forms and collecting signatures for registration;

• Squarespace - used as a CMS for Embodied Birth Website;

• Interac e-transfer - all payments are collected via Interac e-transfer, which allows you to send and Embodied Birth to receive money from your bank via email; no other banking information is shared;

• Wise - if money is needed to be transferred from another country to Canada, we will use an international money transfer app called Wise or similar international payment processors.

Please refer to the privacy and security policies of these applications. All questions and concerns regarding the use and disclosure of information by these third parties must be directed to the third party.

How Embodied Birth collects information:

• Website Contact and Registration Forms - Embodied Birth Website is hosted on Squarespace and linked with a Google email hosting service; all forms are forwarded to molly@embodiedbirth.ca (“Embodied Birth Email”).

• Website Analytics - Squarespace uses Google Analytics to track all users of the Embodied Birth Website; information collected includes basic pageview numbers and visit data such as device type, operating system, and browser type (for example, Safari or Chrome). Other information like language setting, “traffic source” (i.e. what brought users to the site such as via search engine, an advertisement, or an email marketing campaign) may also be collected.

• Registration Process - To complete registration in the Program, you will be given the option to fill out and e-sign a JotForm form or print out, sign, scan and email back a PDF document. Information collected for registration purposes includes, but is not limited to: basic contact information (full name, email, phone number, home address), care provider information, birth companion information, health or obstetric concerns, estimated due time, etc. Only information that is pertinent to the delivery of the Program is collected.

• Contact Tracking Process - Anytime you use a form, email directly or contact by other means, your name and basic contact information will be tracked; this allows Embodied Birth to communicate with you about services and opportunities as well for registration and reporting purposes;

• Email Subscriber List - By completing the registration process, you are agreeing to be contacted by Embodied Birth through Email. Your email address will also be added to the email subscriber list. This allows Embodied Birth to:

  • send you information regarding your registration;

  • use your email address to automate invoices for payments;

  • share news about the course or services rendered;

  • share future opportunities, tips and additional resources on periodic basis;

  • you can remove yourself from the list at any time.

• Hypnobirthing® Institute Reporting - As a certified instructor of the HypnoBirthing® Institute, I must report on certain metrics every year. This means that I must submit a yearly class report which includes how many participants I have taught each year. This does not include your name or other identifying or contact information. Upon registration, you will be given the choice to specify if you choose to share your email address with HypnoBirthing® Institute who may contact you for additional quality assurance and research purposes. Even if you consent at time of registration, you can withdraw this consent at any time.

• Course Evaluation and Course Surveys - At the end of the course, you will be encouraged to fill out an evaluation form which will be returned to me and used for quality improvement on the delivery of the Course. You will also be invited to fill out other online surveys provided by the Hypnobirthing® Institute (such as a Course and Educator Evaluation Survey, and Parent Birth Report Survey). These surveys are submitted directly to the Hypnobirthing® Institute for the growth and development of HypnoBirthing and Embodied Birth has no access to them. All forms and surveys are optional.

• Case Notes - When a client has engaged in receiving 1-to-1 support, either through booking additional HypnoBirthing sessions or energy healing, all personal and health-related information is kept strictly confidential. I write my own case notes in order to outline the details of an individual’s needs and assist in making decisions and planning for support or service. All case notes first handwritten and later digitized and kept secure in an encrypted folder on my home office computer. Raw notes are kept in a folder in my home office and regularly disposed of through burning. I choose to burn my raw case notes both as a way to securely dispose of them but also as an act of ceremony in upholding the intentions set for the topics being released.

Embodied Birth will never share or sell your personal information to others. Participants may give or withhold consent to the collection, use and disclosure of their personal health information and may withdraw their consent at any time by advising Embodied Birth.

Intellectual Property Note:

The name HypnoBirthing® is a registered trademark, held by the HypnoBirthing Institute, and all of the HypnoBirthing program, syllabus, techniques and materials are the intellectual property of the HypnoBirthing Institute, and are copyrighted and protected under Federal and International Intellectual Property laws. As a participant of the program, you may only access and use the information and materials for your personal use. You do not have permission to change, modify, delete, display, transmit, adapt, exploit, or copy for distribution or sale any images, text, newsletters, articles, opinions and videos or other copyrighted materials.
